How to add a flag counter to a forum signature

Put a flag counter in your forum signature or posts with our BBCode. Works on phpBB, vBulletin, XenForo, SMF, MyBB and most other forums.

A flag counter in your signature shows which countries read your posts. Almost all forum software supports images in BBCode, and Live Flag Counter gives you a ready-made BBCode snippet with a standard-size image that shows at the right size.

Step by step

  1. Create your counter

    Design it on our homepage. The badge layout or a one-row grid fits signature size limits best. Click Create my counter and copy the BBCode tab.

  2. Open your signature settings

    The place differs per forum: in phpBB it is User Control Panel → Profile → Edit signature; in XenForo Account → Signature; in vBulletin, SMF and MyBB look for Edit signature in your user or profile settings.

  3. Paste the BBCode and save

    Paste the code into the signature box, preview it and save. The counter appears under each of your posts.

What the code looks like

This is the BBCode code. Yours contains your own counter ID instead of YOUR-ID, so always copy it from your counter's page.

Tips for forums

  • Check your forum's signature rules: many limit the height of signature images. The badge layout fits almost everywhere.
  • Some forums load images through an image proxy. The counter still counts, but countries may show the forum server's location and the image can update more slowly.
  • If BBCode images aren't allowed, use the Image URL tab and post the image address wherever images are allowed.

Questions

Why is my signature image the wrong size?

Use the BBCode tab: it links the standard-resolution image, which shows at its natural size on forums.

Can I use it in normal posts too?

Yes. The same BBCode works anywhere the forum allows images.
